On my way to Dubai

Two years ago.

I just finished my work and and when I am on my way to go home i recieved a message from somebody. It says they want me to come for a initial interview. I was surprised coz it was already 1 year since I submit applications for overseas job. So I was thinking that it maybe some kind of scam and i have doubt about it. But then I decided to go coz this one might be real. Coz really I am not happy anymore in my job, doing things the same everyday made me think of leaving the company.

So I came for the interview. There are lot of people in along queue of the parking area of the building. Some people are looked familiar so I decide to talk with them. And they said they got the same message. And i learned that the people from this recruitment agency are the same people where I submitted my papers a year ago. they just leave the old company and move to another one. Well these people has agood reputation coz in their previous presentation from the old company they deploy a lot of people abroad and some of these people are friends of friends, we know etc etc.

In there they just gave us some advices on how tos, grooming etc. and schedule of final interview with the GMs of this company.

I was pretty excited and nervous on the interview day coz that will be the first time i am going to talk to a foreigner. Anyway I did my best to comes out the real me and tried very hard to be confident on the interview. I know i ddnt deliver my english properly, as i said this is the first time that i really need to speak in english. anyway i felt that i satesfied the GMs after the interview, it was 3 interview actually. the GM, The HR manager and the Chef. I have smile on face when i left the building.

On the way i talked to other how was the interview and they said they don't feel good about it. so its different feeling. I really felt that i have the chance.

For less than a month they said they will call or email us if we passed the interview and give us detail on how to get the job. I am not hoping to get it just for me not to be dissapointed. I go to work as normal, tried to be happy, joking etc. And yes after a month I got a call and they are asking me to come to the recruitment agency to sign the contract. And yes i read all the details, Ill be working as a legumier ina Golf club in the dubai. I searched it in the internet and get excited about it. And this is the good news , There is no placement fee or salary deductions or any form of payment to the agency, all I need to do are give them all the documents needed and of course I need to go on in a medical check up at my own expense. and thats all. Done it all and I just wait for the visa. I was worried coz the promise to leave the country was always move to another date, cancelled etc. I talk to other guys who also got the job and the same as me worried also. But things gose well after they booked us for a plane wherein all of us 40 people are leaving at the same time and will go to dubai.

The day before the flight we had a despidida party wherein we bring our own food and we share it. In there we get to know each other and most of us will fly for the first time.

On the airport. I was very excited , like our flight is 7 am but I am already there at 11 pm. i observed the people and its like that I saw people crying, parents and their children, grand parents, love ones. It was a very sad moment for them. But its another hope for others.

That was my first time in the airplane, i just hate the feeling when i cannot hear, like a deaf and cannot hear sounds when the plane is moving up or down very fast. I realized that it was normal and the others feel the same.

Welcome to Dubai international airport. Finally were in Dubai. It was good a lot of people, different nationalities, i noticed that most of the employees of the airport are Filipinos. Oh they is how they need us.

We meet the Golf club staff and gave us a welcome smile. it feels really good to welcome that way. They are very welcoming. when i was on the plane I was worried that our employer might be not good. But then The company is good.

We reached the staff acommodation. and we are surprised because its one nice building.

So far I have been working here in Dubai. I would say this company is the best. http://www.fourseasons.com/

Love...

Yea yea yea.. everybody fall in love.... but why like this. why there is an end for this love? and why someone need to suffer for this love. WHY?........................................................................................................................................................



Maybe you'll say.. She's not the right one for you. You'll find someone better.

Yea we are coming to that but what I am saying is the pain. The pain left after leaving of the one you love.Its okay if you don't love each other anymore maybe there is no pain after the split... But this time you still love her and she does'nt love you anymore. What do you think you're gonna do? Insist her to stay. tell her to give one more chance? Be amartyr? It's a difficult situation.. it feels like no more chance for a living. what for?. This is the time someone thinking negatively. That's why he need someone to guide him to the right way.

Broken hearted people ussually tends to be alone and this is the time a friend should be there at all times. A friend can help to heal the wound of a broken hearted one.

Finding New Job.

Nowadays as too many company are laying off a lot of people because of economic crisis. It seems that finding a new Job is quit not easy. But of course it defends coz there are companies who are still working very well and not affected by the current recession. So therfore they have a lot of choices of choosing the best possible employee.

In my case... The management of my company is about to leave. And it put as in trouble as we don't know what will happened to us. There are speculation that we might be absurb by the new management but in a lesser salary than what we get from my current company. Because of this some of us decide to resign and some are looked for a new job.

Because of this our GM gave us an options. 1. Resign and go back to origin country. 2. Resign and stay in this country and find a new Job. 3 Stay with the new management. The good thing is our GM endorse us for a possible job in a three Hotel who are in need of a new employees for their upcoming project.

We have a great time in our current company. They treat us good that make us proud being a part of it. If therse no crisis in other regions possibilities are we might be transfer to other properties.

I don't know but most of the time I am lazy to do things. I felt that its better to stay on bed or watch TV or Just surf on the net.

Wala lang parang tulad nong mga nakaraang araw na hindi ako nakakapag post dito. Sabi ko ah bukas na lang ako mag po post hangang sa lumipas ang isang araw, dalawa, tatlo, apat, lima, anim, pito hanggang sa ewan ko kung ilang araw na. Nakakahinayang yon mga araw na yon kung saan marami rami na rin sana akong nakwento at kahit kunti e may nalaman kayong impormayon kahit na mababaw or korny.
Pero ganon naman talaga hindi ba. dahil hawak natin ang oras natin e wala tayong disiplina na gawin kung ano ang dapat. walang kontrol kung ano ang mga di dapat na gawin.

Anyway.. These is our life. We have the will to do things na gusto natin. Dapat nga lang natin isipin that there are consequences and rewards sa mga bagay na ginawa natin.

Potato Salad.. the best one.

Potato salad is one of my favorite salad. And I know how to make the best one.

Cooking of potato : we cooked the potato this way tho get the best taste.

• In a pan boil 3 cups of water with 1 pc onion cut into 4, 1 pc of celery stalk, 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp black pepper powder, 1 tsp chicken powder
• When it's boiling add the potato and cook it for not more than 15 mins. very soft potato is not good.
• Strain the potato and keep it to cool.

Now while we are waiting for the potato to be cool lets make the dressing

• In a mixing bowl put all the engredients and mix it very well.

1 tsp salt
2 tbsp chop bacon ( fried 5 slice of bacon, toasted, then chop)
1/2 tsp white pepper powder
1 cup mayonaise
2 tbsp of cut spring onion

• after mixing put the potato then mix it very well.

Its ready to serve now, just garnish it with spring onion and chop bacon.

THIS AGREEMENT is made today between Burger King UK of the 1st party and you as a 2nd party.For good consideration, Burger King UK employs the Employee on the following terms and conditions.

ARTICLE 1: CONTRACT PERIODThe contract period shall be for Contract duration: The contract shall last for duration of 60 consecutive months; 5 years and could be renewed based on employee's satisfactory services to the Company.

ARTICLE 2: SALARYBurger King UK shall pay Employee on satisfactory performance of the services the sum of (£6,200) Six Thousand Tow Hundred GBP Basic (Tax inclusive) MONTHLY. I.e. After Tax.
Fifty Great Britain Pounds) monthly, equivalent depending on employee's home country.

The employee will be reimbursed by the employer for reasonable moving expense incurred only as a result of relocation or early termination of leases, storage charges; procurement of travel documents. Reimbursements shall be made before employees embark on journey not later than Five (5) working days after submission of employee's expense report and receipts, this after the acquisition of relevant traveling papers through the assistance of the company's legal adviser on Immigration Matters..Employer shall also take care of employees' air ticket including that of employees' family only on employees' early notification to employer and as shall be requested by employee (ONLY TWO FAMILY MEMBERS ARE ALLOWED)

ARTICLE 3: Duties and Position.Burger King UK hires the Employee in the capacity of Employee's duties may be reasonably modified at Burger King UK discretion from time to time.

ARTICLE 4: Employee to Devote Full Time to Burger King UK.The Employee will devote full time, attention, and energies to the business of the Aviation industry, and, during this employment, will not engage in any other business activity, regardless of whether such activity is pursued for profit, gain, or other pecuniary advantage. Employee is not prohibited from making personal investments in any other businesses provided those investments do not require active involvement in the operation of said companies.

ARTICLE 5: Confidentiality of Proprietary Information.Employee agrees, during or after the term of this employment, not to reveal confidential information from rendering any services to any entity to whom said information has been or is threatened to be disclosed, the right to secure an injunction is not exclusive, and the COMPANY may pursue any other remedies it has against the Employee for a breach or threatened breach of this condition, including the recovery of damages from the Employee.

ARTICLE 6: Disability.In the event that the Employee cannot perform the duties because of illness or incapacity for a period of more than 1 month, the compensation otherwise due during said illness. The Employee's full compensation will be reinstated upon return to work. However, if the Employee is absent from work for any reason for a continuous period of over 2 months, the COMPANY may terminate the Employee's employment, and the Burger King UK obligations under this agreement will cease on that date.

ARTICLE 7: Termination of Agreement.Without cause Burger King may terminate this agreement at any time upon 6 days' written notice to the Employee the Employee will continue to perform his/her duties and may be paid his/her regular salary up to the date of termination. In addition, Virgin Atlantic Airways will pay the Employee on the date of the termination a severance allowance, less taxes and Social Security required to be withheld, without cause, the Employee may terminate employment upon 6 days' written notice to the Employer. Employee may be required to perform his or her duties and will be paid the regular salary to date of termination but shall not receive severance allowance. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in this agreement,

ARTICLE 8: Death Benefit.Should Employee die during the term of employment, Burger King UK shall pay to Employee's Next of kin/Family any compensation due through the end of the two months in which death occurred.

ARTICLE 11: Settlement by Arbitration.Any claim or controversy that arises out of, or relates to this agreement, or the breach of it, shall be settled by arbitration in accordance with the rules of the United Kingdom Arbitration Association. Judgment upon the award rendered may be entered in any court with jurisdiction.

ARTICLE 12: Severability.If, for any reason, any provision of this agreement is held invalid, all other provisions of this agreement shall remain in effect. If this agreement is held invalid or cannot be enforced, then to the full extent permitted by law any prior agreement between the Burger King (and any predecessor thereof) and the Employee shall be deemed reinstated as if this agreement had not been executed.
